Explanation
Phaladeepika 3.4 gives the three Drekkana portions to the lords of the sign itself, the 5th from it and the 9th from it.
The engine therefore maps part 1 to the natal sign, part 2 four signs forward, and part 3 eight signs forward.
Always read the D3 chart after confirming the natal longitude and the exact 10° segment containing the planet or Ascendant.
Each Varga is a deterministic mapping of the natal longitude using its own subdivision rule. The resulting Varga degree is a derived coordinate inside that divisional chart, not a new astronomical observation.
Use a Varga only for the topic it is meant to refine and always start from the natal D1 promise. More charts do not automatically produce more accuracy if the reader mixes their roles.
