Explanation
D1 dignity belongs to the natal sign. D9 dignity must be recalculated from the derived D9 sign.
The comparison table therefore shows D1 dignity and D9 dignity separately. A planet can be in its own, exaltation, debilitation or another sign in either chart.
Rahu and Ketu dignity remains unautomated in this course because traditions disagree about their exaltation and rulership schemes.
Navamsha is derived from the exact natal degree; it is not a second independent sky chart. Always preserve the D1 placement and use D9 to compare how the same graha maps into the ninth division.
A useful D1↔D9 comparison asks whether the sign/dignity changes, whether the graha becomes Vargottama, and where it falls by house in D9. It should not turn every difference into “good” or “bad.”

- Find the Navamsha number inside the natal sign.
- Map it to the D9 sign.
- Compare D1 and D9 sign/dignity/house.
- Return to the natal topic before interpreting.

- D9 is derived from D1 longitude.
- Vargottama means same Rashi in D1 and D9; it is a structural fact, not an automatic verdict.
- D9 refines; it does not replace D1.

D1 ग्रह-बल जन्मराशि से संबंधित है। D9 ग्रह-बल नवांश में मिली राशि से अलग से निकाला जाना चाहिए।
इसलिए तुलना तालिका D1 और D9 ग्रह-बल अलग-अलग दिखाती है। किसी ग्रह की स्थिति दोनों चार्टों में स्वराशि, उच्च, नीच या अन्य राशि हो सकती है।
राहु और केतु के उच्च-नीच/स्वामित्व पर परंपराएँ भिन्न हैं, इसलिए उनका ग्रह-बल यहाँ स्वतः निर्धारित नहीं किया जाता।
नवांश सटीक जन्म-अंश से निकली विभाजित स्थिति है; यह स्वतंत्र दूसरा आकाश-चार्ट नहीं है। D1 स्थिति को बनाए रखें और D9 में उसी ग्रह का नवम विभाजन देखें।
उपयोगी D1↔D9 तुलना पूछती है: राशि/ग्रह-बल बदला या नहीं, ग्रह वर्गोत्तम है या नहीं, और D9 में किस भाव में गया। हर बदलाव को तुरंत “शुभ/अशुभ” न बनाएं।
